System Challenges Are Global

Consulting with doctors and counseling patients and survivors in many countries, I’ve come to see a universal need for reform of medical systems AND reform of how people access them. I’m now starting a new series of community forums in Canada. Stay tuned.

Community Forum Saturday, Feb. 17

Author and researcher Darren Ballegeer will be facilitating a community discussion in High River, Alberta on February 17. The unique event is designed to empower communities to create a better health reality. Post your questions here for discussion at the event (click on ‘Comment’ at left or on post title above). Some of the questions to be discussed will be: “How can a community create a more successful response to cancer and other disease? What represents true progress in the battle against disease? How can we all live above the fear of disease?” This is your opportunity to add your thoughts and questions to an important community discussion.

Two Leaders in Empowering Health

Two leaders I follow are featured here in the same article – Dr. Lissa Rankin and Dr. Bruce Lipton. Their work is empowering people to take the control that is theirs. I interviewed Dr. Lipton for my book and attended an event of Dr. Rankin’s during my cancer journey – they informed my understanding of the leading edge of thought related to healing. http://upliftconnect.com/what-you-think-is-important/

Power on the Leading Edge

My quest for a solution to my cancer led me to leading-edge thinkers and researchers who are on their own quest to determine the true causes of disease and the true paths for healing. Their work supports my belief that the truth is empowering while the old lies are disempowering but becoming less so. — Darren

A Journey, Not a Battle

“Viewing a situation of cancer as a journey, challenge, or opportunity is much more empowering than viewing it as a battle for survival. At the personal level and societal level, addressing disease as a battle is a negative approach that ignores the true nature of disease and healing. Like life itself, cancer for an individual should be viewed as a journey, not a battle.” – From my new book, Cancer Coach

Cutting Out the Politics

We see many posts online about conspiracy theories, which contribute to the fear and confusion surrounding disease. Cancer is not a political conspiracy against the people, nor is the lack of a cure. Neither is a conspiracy and we don’t need the promise of a cure – we need healing. We need to heal ourselves, heal our illness. It is mostly (or entirely) within our hands.

Believe in your healing

“Believe in your victory and in your well-being, and you will naturally fulfill your belief. It won’t, however, be a victory against cancer but a victory of healing and personal growth.”  — From the new book, Cancer Coach
